MEGA UPDATE - NEW CORE, GAME MODE AND ONLINE SYSTEM


NEW FEATURES ADDED:

- New core! It can be accessed from the blue area of the Core Square, a scanner has appeared.

- Online deaths system: If you play with internet connection you can see in each level the last 10 deaths of other players with the date and name (if you play from Steam).

- Online time trial: Now in each level the online world record is shown in the time trial. What are you waiting for to be number 1? In addition, if you are the world top 1 online in that level your character will get a crown.

- Great expansion of the lore: New characters, 120 new dialogues and a lot of history to discover.

- 2 new secret endings added. Final #9 and Final #10.

- New game mode! Retro Mode: You will be able to play DEPO as if it were the 90s. The visual appearance of the game changes completely and all the soundtrack has been redone in 16bit style.

- New ingame computer mechanics and new floppy disk collectibles.

- New mechanic: the chaser. If you are detected by his beam... Run!

- Two new filters in photo mode (Outline and CRT).

- New missile added.

- New accessibility options in the options menu: 

    - It is now possible to run automatically without pressing the run button.

    - It is now possible to skip the minimap sequence when entering and exiting each level or world.

- Added ambient music to Sam's house.

- SAMuel and SAMson are now visually glitched, also their dark version (so the player knows not to approach or touch them).

- Updated the art gallery with new fanarts.

- 2 DLCs added to financially support the future development of the game. (Also, they unlock a coffee mug for Meyers in-game).


OTHER MODIFICATIONS AND CHANGES:

- Now in random mode it is possible to exit to another random level from the Back to main world button in the pause menu if you have already beaten that level. (So you don't need to replay the same level several times).

- The cheats can now be obtained without having to have all the counter-quests, now it is necessary to have all the eyes (so the players can arrive more easily to the end 7).

- Improved dialogue system (some long texts no longer have strange line breaks).

- Improved cacherata level design (doesn't affect chrono or speedrun).

- FPS now adjusted and limited to screen refresh (saves battery on Steam Deck and reduces overheating).

- Optimized level loading time, especially in very large levels or with many collectibles.

- Optimized island levels, increased FPS.

- Ship camera works better in astral mode.

- 2D levels now work in auto-run mode.

- Slightly modified one of the 2D levels to be able to be passed in auto run mode without dying.

- Recalculated the total % of gameplay by introducing 2 new endings.

- Changed some character voices to sound better.

- When finishing bosses in random mode, they now lead to a random level. 

- Fixed that the character in the user interface is not seen after using the Edacra PC and some new post-processing effects.

- Fixed bug where sometimes it was not possible to exit photo mode.

- Fixed problem in the effects mode where the tricks were not activated.

- Retouched some texts of the initial kinematics to facilitate its reading.

- Changed particles fans cinematic island fans.

- The sound when creating game is now set to 25% instead of 100%.

- Fixed possible bug with the time in the classic arcade 2.

- In the classic arcade 2 dark now the countdown stops when reaching the goal.

- In the selfie photo mode now the pixelated filter is seen correctly.

- Optimized code to access the museum at 3 am.

- The blue bar of the chrono is no longer misaligned in the tutorial.

- Fixed an internal bug that sometimes appeared when opening and closing the pause menu.

- Now some levels don't reload if the difficulty is changed because it doesn't affect them.

- In Astral mode the water is now pixelated.

- Enhanced cachefalls lighting.

- Improved level design in cachefalls.

- Optimization and code cleaning.

- Updated credits.

- Fixed some parts of the initial cinematics to look better in Steam Deck.

- Online messaging system has been redone and is more robust.

- Fixed water bug that didn't kill in dark SAMmy.

- Teleport to the art gallery now sounds.

- Some buttons have been reduced the time it took to show the activated element and the speed of the activated element has been increased (Example: buttons in fitxel zone, cachefalls or kernel).

- Now in the case of launching a missile at a very steep angle up or down, it is not allowed. This prevents the missile from being launched at an angle and spin that is impossible to handle.
